We’re Mike and Joy Sheikh, the proud owners of Osprey Cove House on Diamond Lake. Over ten years ago, we came across this beautiful piece of land and instantly fell in love with the peaceful view, the gentle shoreline, and the welcoming feeling of the place. What started as a simple plot with a rundown mobile home soon became the foundation of our dream home — one designed to blend perfectly with nature and capture the serenity of the lake.
Building this home was truly a family project. From the design meetings to the finishing touches, everyone had a hand in bringing our vision to life — even our kids left their handprints in the concrete patio. Every beam, stone, and detail reflects our care and love for this place. Osprey Cove isn’t just a home; it’s a part of our story, and we’re thrilled to share it with guests who will create their own memories here.
Where It All Began
When we purchased this property, it came with an old mobile home and a few renters. Still, we saw the potential for something special — a home that would embrace the beauty of the lake and the trees surrounding it. That vision became the foundation for everything that followed.
Designing the Dream
With shoreline restrictions about to change, we knew we had to move quickly to bring our vision to life. Working with one of the area’s top architects, we designed a Craftsman home that blended perfectly with the natural setting. Every decision, from the beams to the lake-facing windows, reflected our family’s dream of creating something timeless.
A Dream Realized
Building Osprey Cove was truly a family effort — from our children’s handprints in the concrete patio to the beams and acid-stained floors they helped finish. Today, our home stands as a reflection of love, craftsmanship, and nature’s beauty — complete with the Osprey that soar above the cove, inspiring its name.
Inspired by Nature
We named our home Osprey Cove after the majestic Osprey that nests on the neighboring property. Watching them glide over the lake, dive for fish, and care for their young reminds us daily of the natural beauty that surrounds this home.
